The Erie - St Clair Clinic provides services to people motivated to deal with their drug use. At the Clinic the Methadone Maintenance Therapy (MMT) Program includes counselling and support services as well as access to onsite physicians.
 
 
 
Historical Perspective
 
In November 1997, methadone treatment became available to individuals in the Windsor-Essex County area following a 15 year absence. In July 1998, the Board of the AIDS Committee of Windsor gave approval for the establishment of an onsite clinic.
 
This not - for - profit community-based clinic, a regional addiction centre offering support and attention to the broader determinants of health; such as poverty and isolation.  The Clinic is part of the local health integration partnership.
